Why Bali?
Bali is the dream destination that actually lives up to the hype. Whether you want to surf world-class waves, meditate at a hilltop temple, eat incredible food for almost nothing, or dance barefoot at a beach club until sunrise — Bali has a version of paradise for every type of traveler.
What to Do
Ubud: The Culture Capital
Start in Ubud for rice terraces, monkey forests, and art galleries. The Tegallalang Rice Terraces are Instagram-famous for a reason. Take a morning yoga class, visit a local coffee plantation, and explore the traditional market.
Beach Life
Seminyak and Canggu are the beach hubs. Seminyak for upscale beach clubs and cocktails; Canggu for surf culture and laid-back cafes. Uluwatu has the dramatic clifftop temple and incredible surf breaks.
Temples & Waterfalls
Tanah Lot at sunset is magical. Tirta Empul is a holy water temple where you can participate in a purification ritual. For waterfalls, Sekumpul is worth the trek — it’s the most beautiful in Bali.
Food Paradise
Bali’s food scene is incredible and affordable. Try nasi goreng (fried rice) and babi guling (suckling pig) at a local warung. Smoothie bowls and vegan cafes are everywhere in Canggu if that’s your thing.
Pro Tips
- Rent a scooter — it’s the best way to explore, but drive carefully.
- Avoid Kuta unless you love crowds and party tourism.
- Always bring a sarong for temple visits — it’s required.
- Bali runs on “Bali time” — don’t expect things to be punctual.
- Book accommodations with a pool — you’ll use it more than you think.
